That was me. Never a cop, but I did do volunteer emergency services work, and I didn't do it for glory or hero worship. I've worked with lots of cops while doing it, and I never met one who was a cop for glory or heroism. Neither have I. I've always thought that if you wanted to be a 'hero' or demanded 'hero worship', then by all means go into sports, not public service. And Mr. Sharp, thank you for your service. James S.
