![]() Can anyone tell me what the jack by the label on this 2006 is for ?? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tegory=40 979 A company in Batesburg, S.C. called A.I.E. used to sell tone decoders, and would also do installs of the discriminator and memory interface. They commonly used cat 5 connectors for the line between the decoder and the scanner, with female connectors mounted about where the one is in the picture. I have two 2006 scanners and two A.I.E. decoders - model TCF4 - mated at home. Both were done the same way. A.I.E. sold me both the scanners and decoders, so all I had to do was place the order, and they were shipped ready-to-use. If the connector in the picture was not used for an A.I.E. decoder, I presume it was still used for a discriminator tap. Jeff Multer Fort Mill, S.C. |
