says... I'm in search of a scanner antenna to mount on my Ford Explorer. I understand that there isn't "the perfect" antenna to receive everything; although my main scans are fire, police, and CHP (nothing trunked). Antenna Specialists makes a nice little multicoupler, for about $40 or so (from Universal Radio), that allows you to use your AM/FM broadcast antenna for both the good-times radio and the scanner. I'm using one in my van. Works great! Have a look at this link for their model MON-63. http://www.antenna.com/lm_cat/lmrpg27.html Universal's sale link for it can be found here. http://www.universal-radio.com/catal...ants/0748.html Happy hunting no matter what you decide. -- Dr. Anton Squeegee, Director, Dutch Surrealist Plumbing Institute (Known to some as Bruce Lane, KC7GR) kyrrin a/t bluefeathertech d-o=t c&o&m Motorola Radio Programming & Service Available - http://www.bluefeathertech.com/rf.html "Quando Omni Flunkus Moritati" (Red Green) |
