Pretty much any "Trunk Tracking" scanner will work with a basic Motorola
SmartNet system. These are often called Type II trunking. You don't
really need the more expensive 250D unless they also use digital
modulation. This is usually referred to as an "Astro" system (i.e. Astro
SmartNet).
