Many scanners cover 27 MHz so folks can have Ch 19, 27.185 Mhz AM
in a memory of a mobile scanner in the car. So they can keep track of traffic. If you put CH 19 in a priority channel, this will emulate a CB radio and allow instant access to road hazards, that may be broadcast over CB! One of my favorite saves is " ladders in the travel lane" that appear to have fallen off a truck, on the interstate highways here in New England. Once you get a feeling for the limitations of CB radios and understand them then CB monitoring is OK. JIM Andy in NJ wrote: Really? I'll have to turn mine on and tell all the truckers on channel 19 and the guys that talk on channel 21 around here to remove their radios since no one uses CB anymore. "Jeff" wrote in message news ![]() Nobody, and I mean nobody uses CB anymore. We have one of theseclubs in our area and I think they have been waiting 20 years to save somelives, and none yet. What does this have to do with scanning? |
