Default Uniden Bearcat 800XLT

I recently came into possession of a Uniden Bearcat 800XLT. The radio turned
on and worked fabulously the first time it was turned on. Subsequent to
that, it will no longer fully power up, only the three indicator lights are
activated (Delay, Lockout and Priority). There is no freq. display, it
apparently will not scan and the "white noise" volume is very low.

This is a beautiful scanner and, when it did work, appeared to be VERY
sensitive on UHF (will be used to monitor local FD freq.'s). I would be
extremely appreciative of any assistance or advise that might be available
to help me get this thing running properly again.

Thank you,

John Schneider, KB2COP
