I bought a used PRO-2045 scanner and the
LCD backlights don't illuminate but the scanner
works ok otherwise.

I opened the case but it looks like they are
buried in there -- maybe more than I want
to dig into.

I have another PRO-2045 and it seems to have
a light on both ends of the LCD screen.

Since neither work, I assume the problem is
common to both.

Any ideas on how to approach this problem?
