Default Fequency CD?

What's the best software for this situation - traveling from city to city,
state to state, with a BC 780 and BC 245 w/laptop and I want to load the
trunking/conventional frequencies for the city/state I am traveling to so
that I can monitor traffic and public safety information, etc. Whats the
most comprehensive CD/program for this?

Well, if all you're interested in is programming the radios, there
are 3 fairly cheap (or free) packages that fit your needs;

- Scan Control (lite version)
- Control Freq Jr.
- Scancat Lite Plus

I think I'd go with the lite version of Scan Control; it has support
for most of the kinds of systems you might encounter. Control Freq Jr.
doesn't, and to me, at least, Scancat Lite Plus is too klunky to be
effective for more than an occasional reload.

You can find links to these packages and reviews he
