Default Put Scanner Audio online

This may have been discussed before but I have lost it.
I have a BC-780 that I'd like to put the audio online.

I'd also like to enable control of the radio for the internet user.

Is this possible?
If so then what do I need to get started?

Thanks All!!!

tutorials for this sort of stuff.

Good luck.

Adam look at the magazine Popular Communications August issue. It is just
starting
a series on neteork controll and radio server setups. Also look at
RealNetwork site.
I think they have some freeware software called Helex Server Basic.

I'm recording 24-7 in Washtenaw County Michigan but I produce summaries
instead of offering a live scanner. And I'm still working on code for
network scanner control in PERL and C. Everything I'm using is
open-source and will soon be building a howto.

I needed a way to capture the audio and archive it in an economical
format. I'll be uploading monthly summaries to archive.org starting at
the end of the month.

The details:

Could I ask, why you would instead, offer up recorded incidents rather than
live streaming?

I think people would be more inclined to listen if it were streaming instead
of recorded.

What area would you be streaming from?
