Thanks dxAce you've put me on the right track.

No problem. My only other advice would be is to go with one of the active
splitters... MCA vs. MC as denoted in the product list.

While George (http://www.milaircomms.com/) and I may often disagree on various
issues, I'm sure he would tell you that Stridsberg makes great multi-couplers.

Is it possible to connect two scanners to a single discone antenna and

this? Would I need some kind of vhf/uhf antenna splitter?
Thanks in advance guys.

This fellow makes some good ones.

I've never used one for the scanners, but I do use one for shortwave.

One other thing I forgot was that I bought the splitter I use from another
individual and a year or so later it failed. I contacted Stridsberg and he said to
ship it to him. It was fixed free of charge, and shipped back to me free of
charge.

A year or so later I began experiencing some issues with some mediumwave problems
creeping up into the shortwave spectrum. I contacted Stridsberg, said to ship unit
to them and they would modify it for me to alleviate those problems. Shipped it
back to me, no charge.

That's service.
