For my $.02 worth, I had a RS discone and after two years, a 70+ MPH
wind blew it and half of the radials some 500 feet into the woods. If you don't have these types of winds to contend with, I'd say it was a great discone, because it was for the time that I had it. I now have a "Diamond" and am very pleased with it's construction. We have had 66 MPH winds in the 2 years since it's been up and it has held firm, on the same 20" post, since then. The ends of the radials are not crimped at the ends [like the RS that I had] That is where they broke off from my antenna. Let me know if you need more info.
