AR8200 MKIII Help
 
Hi,

Does anyone have or know where i can find the pinouts/schematics to
make a PC cable for the AR8200 MKIII?

The AR8200 manual has details of the connections on the Remote socket on
the side of the radio. Note though that from around November 2000 there
was a change to the Violet and Blue wires.

If you get the AOR "Open ended" cable (we call it the OS8200) then the
cable colours/connections will match the manual.

As for the actual "interface" there are quite a few designs that have
appeared on web sites over the years. Most normally make use of a Maxim
(or equivalent) MAX232 or 233 IC (the 233 doesn't need external
capacitors).

should be in manual if not contact AOR thr is an AOR office in Torrance
on Western Avenue...this is not far from 110 & 405 freeways

Might try here http://www.pro-92.com/pcifcable.htm and check out the links
for two way cables that you can make for a little bit of nothing.
Obviously not specifically for the AE8200, but might well work nonetheless.
