I just acquired this scanner and love it, tho I am considering purchasing
the 396 due to the fact that I travel nationwide and run into too many digital situations in larger cities, but my question will pertain to both scanners. What would be the quickest way to download a system to the radio when I arrive in a particular city? Is there a frequency CD or program out there that is compatible with the scanner that will let me quickly download the one system I need and assign it a quick key within say 5 minutes after I get to a certain locale? Any suggestions greatly appreciated. I am a 48-state trucker and need a quick programmer. As it is, I sit and search for systems and punch them in manually - pain in the arse. By the time I get them configured, it's time to leave: ) Thanks! J |
