Mount Rainier National Park - Washington State - ?freqs
The 2005 Fire Management Plan for Mount Rainier Natl Park in Washington State reports that they have repeaters at - Gobblers Knob, Crystal Mtn, Mt Fremont, Tolmie Peak, Shriner Peak, and Packwood. There are also base stations at - Comm Center, Longmire, Crystal Mtn, and Packwood. The Comm Center is at Park HQ at Tahoma Woods. The Comm Center is staffed 14 to 16 hours per day in the summer. After hours, 911 is used to reach the rangers and park staff. (I dont know exactly what that means - maybe 911 calls go to the local Sheriff after hours). The Comm Center can reach all base stations in the Park, and most mobile units. Any Ranger Station that is near a paved road has a telephone. Anyone have any confirmed freqs? Apparently - in the summer time - they staff 1 or 2 wildland fire engines, perhaps 1 structural fire engine, perhaps 1 ambulance, and maybe 6 or 7 ranger stations.
