I wonder whether when you see an inflatable elephant on top of a car dealer you think that they sell elephants there! No. I think the car dealer got drunk and passed out on the lot. His salesman PUT that elephant on the car dealer's chest when he was passed out. Salesmen get their fun where they can find it. I don't imagine it to be an easy life. We'll have to ask dxAce.... mike |

I once stumbled across a website about a Berkeley Parade.I just now did
a search for it and I saw, www.howberkeleycanyoube.com Just pointing out that I doubt there will ever be any shortage of people over there in that area who won't stay tuned in to that radio stations ''new format''. cuhulin |

pretty good.I have no problem with watching them on tv. cuhulin |

wrote in message oups.com... It'll get tired after a month or so; Who'd advertize there ? It is a stunt, designed to run a few days while the real format is being readied. It is like doing a heartbeat for all weekend, or playing the same song over and over... also attention getters used to announce that what was there is gone and a new format is coming. We do not sell ads on stunting days. |

Are the religion based stations losing people to the extent they are no longer able to attract advertisers or contributors? Stunting prior to a new format is and has been the norm for 5 decades of US radio. Stunts run a few days to a week or so, but are usually not as creative as this... often they are the songs of construction work (saws and hammers) or a heartbeat or a clock counting down. Or the favorite, play the same song over and over for days. It's a sad state of affairs that the new owners think a tasteless approach will increase income. It is a stunt, not intended to create income. It is intended to get publicity. Which it did. David Eduardo is probably right when he says there will be another change once the initial 'excitement' is over. Yeah, in a couple of more days. It's all publicity. Correct. It is not a format, it is not intended to be listened to. It is intended to garner attention. |
