Is that legal?

No, Todd's 50 to 100 watts ain't legal, but it gets him a larger audience.

The FCC is looking at VOLTAGE, not WATTAGE, voltage can produce
different types of voltage...again if this is not so, then why do we
have an assortment of light bulbs that range from 60 watts to 100 watts
when you plug them into 110 V??

I stopped off at O'Reily auto parts store.Wal Mart and Autozone doesn't
carry them anymore,O'Reily just happened to have one package of 19 inch
slip in refill windshield wiper blades.I got me an idear.Since I dont
ever get out and drive anywhere if it's raining. (because I dont have to
anymore) I think I will keep them refill blades in the package in the
metal lock box behind the drivers seat in my raggity old 1978 Dodge
van.Maybe I will remove the passenger side blade assembly. They ought to
last forever that way.Them d..n things are getting hard to find nowdays.

Wrong. FCC gonna shut your dumbass down for sure.

they are looking at microvolts per meter, which is "field strength", not
voltage, numb nuts.

How does that formula go? Volts over Amps equal Watts.

Not true, absolutely. Never heard of QRP? Low power stations can go a
LONG ways, not just interSTATE but interCONTINENTAL on HF frequencies.
100mW kiddie walkie talkies have been heard 2/3 of the way across the
country (the old 11m CB ones) during peaks in the skip season on 11m.

QRP is often my favourite mode of operation - it's quite a challenge. I've
found it's frequently possible to talk across the Atlantic with 5 Watts
p-e-p SSS on 14 MHz!

Not right. Ever hear of physics? A simple calculation, based upon
the laws of wave propagation, has already been posted which shows that
the power needed to produce the size of electric field given in the
regs is on the order of MILLIWATTS; not hundreds of watts.

If "Omega One" keeps it up, they are going to get busted.

um...dumbass, you can product different wattage at a certain voltage,
if not we would have 60 to 100 WATT light bulbs plugged into 110 V, if
110V on put out on form of watt. Learn something about electricity.

um...dumbass, you are talking about power density (watts per square
meter) versus field strength (volts per meter) and that has nothing to
do with light bulbs...dumbass. You sound like electrician who knows
diddly squat about r.f. but think that he does. I waiting for your NAL
to arrive so Mark and I can throw a beer enema party.
