Default Local Interference

Kevin Garrett wrote:
Hi All:

I have a radio shack DX394 and an RF Systems EMF antenna. From about 7020
through 7180 or so I am getting interference from KYCH 97.1 FM. I can
recognize the song playing.

Is something likely wrong with my radio, antenna or is it them? Or could
it be that I am pretty close to their transmitter?

This is in Portland Oregon

Kevin

An FM BCB rejection trap might solve your problems.

Several compaines make them.

Radio Shack (shudder) makes an inline "F" to "F" unit that works pretty
well.

I have a PCR1000 that suffers from local FM BCB overlaod. And a local
rat
shack was having a going out of business sale. So I bought the last
four
they had for about $1 each. One was enough to completly remove the
FM interference.

At full price they shouldn't break the bank.
