Eton E5 + DE31 active loop antenna. Located in San Francisco, California. No signal for 4 minutes, but heard static changes during those 4 minutes that sounded like a silent transmitter coming on. Finally, piano music started and has continued for 7 minutes. SIO 353. I probably can't catch this signal again until the weekend, so I'm curious what others are hearing in the wake of the coup.

The news I've gotten about the coup has been through websites for
Thailand Daily, Bangkok Post, CNN, MSNBC, BBC, etc. I got a web news
flash before the local all news radio station carried the story.

It was repeated and distorted-intermitant piano music on 5890KHz to N.Am
throughout the 0030-0230UTC timeslot.

0:30-1:00 9/21 UTC 5890Khz
The signal is booming here in Tennessee. It is being relayed from
Greenville, NC, or so I understand.

Brief mention of the coup and of the (former) prime ministers' corrupt
tax-free business transaction.. Then, straight to business and sports
news (and commercials for Bangkok Airways heh). It appears to be
business as usual? Or at the very least, that is the face they are
putting on for international consumption..
