The DE-11 is $35.99+$20 shipping on eBay (Liypin). It does not seem to
be dual conversion, which is probably why it is less expensive than the DE-1105." That may have a small part to play in the price difference. I suspect there are other reasons though. All the dual conversion radios say dual conversion on Degen's website (do a web translation of their website). This radio does not. The same with Liypin's ads. Liypin never replied whether it was dual conversion or not. Those are several very good indicators that the radio does not have dual conversion. Which is not that big a deal on inexpensive radios anyway. The DE1103 has images a-plenty and it is dual conversion. The DE-11 doesn't have a tuning knob -- but does have an antenna jack. Missing tuning knob is a decided minus. The DE-11 also shows the time at the same time as showing the frequency. That's nice. It's an inexpensive radio. To be honest I would look at one of the Redsun receivers. |
