New to shortwave please advise me

I would like to purchase a short wave radio receiver to listen to world radio broadcasts. Is there certain frequency capacities I should look for ? Your best bet is to get a radio that covers everything from 2300kHz to 30Mhz. Most sets with digital tuners will handle this.
