Anyone using RS 12-150 AM/FM/WX radio?

analog tuning?

The S350 has analog tuning, and a frequency counter readout. That's
where at least some of the celebrated drift comes from.

But according to Radio Shack (and various people's comments about
the tuning steps) the 12-150 has synthesized tuning.

That is a pretty blatant difference.

ANd once they make that sort of "mod", there is little reason to
even believe there is anything in common between the two radios.

You should have stuck with the line about how they are equally bad,
because whether or not that is true, it's more true than claiming
the radios are the same.

Read the reviews on eham.net and Amazon and see how great these
pieces-of-**** receivers are ! All these big-boxed, Chinese-made,
over-hyped, light-weight receivers are crap ! You are the sucker, not
me ! I can smell'um a mile away !

throw-away society ! Most receivers these days are junk, and made in
China ! Bring back the RS DX-440 and Sony ICF-2010 ! The S50 is total
garbage - take off the back, and see that it is mostly-hollow inside
and the whole receiver is a cheap low-grade plastic ! When I opened, my
now returned to RS S350, some little washers fell out and I could not
figure where they went - some poor suck probably has that radio now !
The S350's electronics are 1960's grade.

That is a pretty blatant difference.

even believe there is anything in common between the two radios.

You should have stuck with the line about how they are equally bad,
because whether or not that is true, it's more true than claiming
the radios are the same.

I own the 12-150 too. I like the radio a lot. great sound and with a
long wire attached it picks up almost anything my other radios do. Its
a great bedside radio,imho

his handle is adept at making statements that have no basis in fact.

Given your attitude on this forum and the way you write I find it very
hard to believe that you have had any involvment with Sidwell Friends
school, other than possibly walking by and seeing the sign.
