Hi,

Have looked all over, and have learned a lot more about SHARES, which is
quite interesting.
But still can't find any of the actual freq's used.

Looked in the Files section where you suggested, but still can't find em.

Understand about not re-posting them, but might you please just
give me the exact Link to where they are, so I can get them myself ?

Happy Holiday, and thanks,
Bob

in their files section, but can't post them as it would violate the
group rules"

I have the list on my PC. What I don't have handy is a web reference. I
rather not post someone elses hard work.

That's the same list that I pulled off of WUN, though it is dated 2003.

The SHARES frequencies are a bit down the page.

There are shares voice frequencies. The first document is related to
SHARES ALE, though I never got around to decoding it.

Not any more - just returns an Internet domain seller.

Have a look at Monitoring Times Hot 1000 HF Frequencies and search the
page for "SHARES"... http://www.monitoringtimes.com/html/mttopHF.html.

You can import the list into Excel: select the list and paste it to a
text file; use data import, fixed width format to import two columns -
freq and description. Then you can sort and filter using Excel.

I think the other reference is more accurate. For instance 14396.5 is
14396 on the Grove list.

Since somebody else put it on the net, here is the shares section:
================================================== =====================

**UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT LISTINGS
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

*U.S. Goverment SHARES (Shared Resources)Program
================================================
SHARES Coordination Network (SCN)
4490.0 Channel 3/SCN ALE Net
4573.5 Alternate frequency for channel 1 voice check-in
5236.0 Channel 1/SCN Voice Net
5711.0 Channel 4/SCN ALE Net
6800.0 Channel 9/SCN BBS Net
9106.0 Channel 5/SCN ALE Net
10586.5 Channel XF
11217.0 Channel 6/SCN ALE Net
13242.0 Channel 10/SCN BBS Net (G-TOR)
14396.5 Channel 2/SCN Voice Net Shares
14898.5 Alternate frequency for channel 2 voice check-in
15094.0 Channel 7/SCN ALE Net
17487.0 Channel 8/SCN ALE/STI Net

SHARES coordination stations conduct a weekly SHARES net on the ten SCN
channels every Wednesday from 1600-1800 UTC.

Large scale annual SHARES exercises are conducted in April, August and
December.

SCN Operational Levels
SCN Operational Levels are designed to improve the responsiveness of
the
SHARES Coordination Network during emergencies. SCN Operational Levels
are defined as follows:

Operational Level 3 - Conditions normal. No emergency exists. The ten-
channel SCN may be used by SHARES station personnel for training and
non-
emergency operations.

Operational Level 2 - Emergency potential exists. Non-emergency
operations on the SCN suspended. SCN monitoring increased. Check-in
windows established on the national and regional nets to receive
Stations
Availability Reports.

Operational Level 1 - Emergency exists. SHARES message support
required.
National and regional nets maintain full-period operations to receive
Station Availability Reports, to list SHARES message traffic, and to
coordinate the processing of SHARES messages.
============================
I recall the test being worst case, such as 5236 being used at during
daylight hours.
