Was wondering if there are any PC software programs to decode this stuff, like are avail. for so many of the other digital modes, so one wouldn't need another (dedicated) radio to hear it ? Not much chance a NON-HD radio could pick it up. The signal is 50 kHz wide, with the primary digital channel in side bands out at 15-25 kHz, both sides of the main carrier. (Secondary out at 5-15 kHz). And, (vague recollection), the phase of the sideband modulation is setup so that they cancel out in a wide band receiver.
