Got my Lo-Kata ADF
It just came in the mail today. Audio performance is similar to the Lowe
receivers. MW/LW performance is a little bit more sensitive than the Grundig Satellit 650. It needs some cleaning of controls/switches, but overall it is in good condition. If you find one of these, make sure that you get it with the optional ADF antenna. I believe that this is required to make it work. Pete |

Got my Lo-Kata ADF
It appears that you don't need the loop antenna with this unit, unless you
want to use it in the ADF mode. With a long wire hooked up to the external antenna input, there is no sign of IMD, or any images. I saw two crystals on the main board, so it may be a dual conversion unit.................I am not sure yet. I e-mailed David Searle to find out a bit more info. It should prove interesting. It is one of the best LW/MW receivers I have seen in a long time. Pete |
