Ebay has had a lot of listings for this radio under "Sharper Image."
It is listed in the $40.00 range which makes C$100 a bit stiff. One
post on rec.radio couldn't get it to tune above 21 mhz but that is all
I have heard. It is an interesting radio and I was thinking of getting
one but the "the source"s" stock for the model was not the neat one of
the illustration, but was a garish thing that looked like some sort of
Oriental bug with lots of bling. Even if it was a good radio, I
wouldn't have a thing like that in the house. The earlier model,
however, had a clean design.

If you Google "five band global tuner ct 800" you will get about 80
hits, none of them much use.
There are four reviews on Amazon.com: they are not much good mostly
obsessing with the bright leds.
Nothing about sw sensitvity, bandwidth, image rejection or anything
useful. One review said it had good AM sensitvity, one said it sounded
good, another said it made loud pops when switching. It seems to be
discontinued and any that are left in stock are being cleared at
$49.95. I think that the one I saw at The Source must be the new model
(ugh, shudder) . You could look up the previous post and ask how he
likes his. I seem to recall he used "Sharper Image" in the title.

For that kind of money you can buy a decent radio.

I tried one out in The Source and found it tuned in 5kHz steps in SW.
There is no way to off tune to dodge interference. The criticism of
the bright LED are correct . They could drill holes in your eyes in a
dark room. Easy solution would be to put a dab of paint on them.
