At 16:43EST (21:43UTC) on 6.486MHz a signal with music that sounds
Irish, or Celtic, with a lot
of shouting going on. S5 with muffled audio.

At 21:46 went to silent carrier.

Well it is nice for someone who knows spanish that thinks it doesn't
sound like spanish even though most of it is

I was really doubting my ears this time yesterday as I can to the same
conclusion. But as I posted earlier it is Republica Arabe Saharauis
Democratica. I also heard the ID at 23:02 today.

Knowing what the ID should be sure helps when you hear it. It is really
hard to ID a station when you do not have a clue as to who they might
be.

Now ....where is this signal coming from? Algeria? It is loud but the
drifting is not a good thing. Oh well, they are on the air !

At 22:00Z they went to news.

It sounds like Arabic to me.
Some of the sound bytes have the oddest sounding
Spanish I have ever heard.

Maybe a mix of Spanish and Arabic?.

Anyone know what Basque sounds like?

I am recording it and will try to track down a former
coworker from Jorden and see if he will translate. Of
course if this is a AQ call to arms I guess HS will
hustle me off to Cuba.

Yes, supposedly via Tindouf, Algeria.
