How's your reception of 11880 kHz? It's usually the best frequency
at that time, here in Seattle.

11880.0 is pretty marginal here now on a 40' indoor longwi S7 to
S5. SINPO: 24222.

Switching to the Datong dipole and reorienting the antenna to an
azimuth of ~340* - ~160* True results in improved readability and less
noise: S7 to S5. SINPO: 25333.

Thanks for the tip.

Also check 9710 kHz.

Nothing but noise on 9710.0 here.

If you dig hard enough you can find a .pdf file on their website
with three or four pages of transmission schedules (and the details
for their satellite audio). But it'll probably change in a couple
of weeks. Usually the changes are minor.

Looks like 9710 quits at 20:00.

I'd just finished listening to The Science Show (16:05-17:00) on
5995 kHz, but it was a bit weak (S7-S8) so the neighborhood light
dimmers added their steady background hash.

On 5995.0 now, all I get is noise.

quits at 18:00

Usually it's hit or miss in the early afternoon until 17785 comes on
at 2:00 PST, and then 17795 (usually a better signal) at 3:00 PST.

New Zealand is booming in here on 17675.0 at the moment.

They've been kind of strange this winter. They've go up in frequency
for their summer schedule, and that makes it more difficult this side of
the equator. 15720 is the usual frequency I try for RNZI in the evening,
and lately it's been unreliable.

Things are getting better, though. The Radio Aus. East Asia transmissions
are starting to be detectable on 15415 and 17750 after going away for
the winter. (There's some public affairs and science stuff on their
East Asia track that they don't bother with on their Pacific track,
like "In Conversation", "Ockham's Razor", and "The National Interest"
and the "Reports" at 7:30 PM PST (instead of 2:30 and 7:30 AM PST),).
