I count just 18 stations below 5 megs on this list, and only two of them are the more challenging "non-RRI" stations. I've heard RPDT2 Manggarai and RSPK Ngada many times, but they are always fun catches. I wonder how long *they'll* be around? It wasn't that long ago that we had many more Indonesian targets. My old copy of the Numero Uno Indonesia List shows 61 different Indos logged by members from 1998 through March of 2001, including a few unid. Indonesians. The number of outlets to try for, as shown in the early 1990s NU Indo Lists, were even greater. Do you remember the short-lived Indos such as RPDT2 Buol Toli Toli, or RRI Samarinda? They're sorely missed! One of my personal favorite recordings of Indo DX is of Buol Toli Toli. One I would really like to see return is RRI Denpasar... Though I have heard them I never received a QSL. dxAce Michigan USA |
