Radio Japan 44 Minutes?
What is Radio Japan filling their hour with this week? 44 minutes
is missing from their website, replaced with something that runs much less than before, leaving me wondering what they're filling the time with. -- Ron Hardin On the internet, nobody knows you're a jerk. |

Last couple a times I listened to them it was a male and female chatting away about whatever seemed to interest them at the moment and they had some interviews about things like how to clean a traditional Japanese house. Noting really that interesting but fun to listen too. The only heavy stuff being the news. -- Telamon Ventura, California Gee, and I thought CBC had budget problems. That 17 year long depression that is still taking place in Japan must really be hitting NHK hard. Say what you will about Radio Havana, Voice of Korea, and the late great stations of the vanished Soviet Bloc, but at least commies really know how to fill time. Do what Radio Peking did and repeat "Down with the imperialist capitalist lackeys and their filthy running dogs!" on an endless loop tape for several hours, then call it a day. If that fails, spout Marxist slogans and interview the secretary of the San Francisco Young Communists' League for a while. Between those and a couple others, you'll have your 4 hour block down pat. |

I think radio Japan is going to stop their broadcasts to NA in english next year. -- Telamon Ventura, California |
