Voice of Korea has broadcasts in French. Given how their announcers
handle English, I can only imagine how the DPRK does French.- Hide quoted text -

M-Sushi,

IMHO - The better Foreign Language Speakers seem to
be persons who have as Children lived for several years
in that Country and Naturally pick-up the Language.
They return to their Country-of-Origin and Grow-Up
Speaking both Landguages like a Native.

IE - The Children of a Country's Diplomatic Corps
can be the 'seeds' of their Future Diplomatic Corps.

I will have to give a Listen to North Korea's Frenchhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voice_of_Korea
Language Shortwave Radio Broadcasts and hearhttp://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/country_profiles/1131421.stm
it for myself. Will they be Talking French or Barkinghttp://www.radioaustralia.net.au/tuning/koreademocraticpeoplesrepubli...

I would think a defector would have the best foreign language skills.
I recall some guy on Radio Havana Cuba is a US expat.

Listening to the Voice of Korea is painful no matter what the
language. About a week ago, they were doing a tribute to Kim's father.
I had no idea he was such a nice guy. ;-)
