Eton E5 Vs. Icom R-75

Comment on performance . .?

A comparison like that is silly, apples and oranges really. Of course
the Icom is the much more sophisticated rx (apparently best suited for
ham/ute work, external speaker recommended), but will require mains
power and a decent external antenna. That being said, the E5 is pretty
good as far as affordable compact portables go. Pitted against the Icom,
it will not have the same strong-signal handling, selectivity or low
phase noise, let alone SSB reception, though I guess speaker audio would
still be better.
