Default Sony sw77 problem

Yes,I see your point, it does crackle a bit when I move it around. I
think it could be a problem with the voltage stabilizer, as it sort
of goes haywire from time to time, getting the same symptoms you get
when batteries are running low, also it goes ballistic when you push
the light button.

It seems to have a problem in the power dept, now I'm not sure if
it's because of the batteries, as I have cheap things in it at the
moment,

You say "getting the same symptoms you get when batteries are running
low" and you originally stated "it's because of the batteries, as I have
cheap things in it at the moment".

Clive, you may have solved your own problem--mightn't you consider
changing the batteries??? That would seem to be an obvious first choice...
