As of today, clicking on http://www.google.com doesn't show the option
to connect to Google groups until you click on the "more" link.
That's because Google is starting to downplay its groups as the
possibility looms that groups will be sold to another company.

That also explains why Google hasn't been policing its users in recent
months. They've been anticipating handing their Usenet problems over
to someone else, so why should they spend their own money on them?

The first thing that the new owner will do will be to shut down
posting while a new interface is built, and I don't think it can
happen too soon.

Goodbye, Wiseman.

Goodbye, Morgan.

Goodbye, K4YZ.

Goodbye Google lamers in general. We won't miss any of ya.

i take this moment to mention in passing that prediction has sill not
come true

y'all think I ought to step outside in about an hour and a half and mow
my yard? not that it needs it of course. And then set up my cheap yellow
mostly plastic water sprinkler because we haven't hardly been getting
any rain over here? (those lieing weather people on tv don't know ZIP)
not that it needs it of course. Those crazy kids out there popping those
firecrackers are going to set the whole neighborhood on fire, it's too
dry around here!

I mowed most of my front yard this evening.I left that strip that runs
from the edge of my yard and along by the side of my house because that
heat and humidity out there was killing me, I about fell over dead half
a dozen times from that blasted heat out there. It's a burner out there!
That strip isn't going any where, I will catch it tomorrow.I am coolin
my heels right now with the airconditioner goin full
blast.Wheeeeee,,,,,,, fell that f cold breeze!
