The E 5 looks like it's got all that I could use but not having a chance to try it outside the store, how well does it really work? Any problems with it? I look forward to your expert commentary and thanks. The E5 is a good radio. I have one and am quite happy with it. I'm an experienced SWL and ham operator and in my opinion this is a great little radio. Sensitivity, selectivity, image rejection, audio quality are all very good. I've just used it with the built-in whip antenna and included wire antenna so far. My only complaint is batteries do not last very long before needing to be recharged. But it does come with an AC adapter so it can still be used when the batteries run down. |
