AUTO, think as in 'awe'. Like, I am in 'awe' of Eduardo's ability to lie.

OTTO, think as in 'ah'. Like, 'ahhhhhh', Eduardo lied again.

Are they pronounced alike or different??

A look in the dictionary will show that they are NOT pronounced
exactly alike, but very close to it.

The first one should have a soft "a" sound while the second one should
start with a soft "o" sound. Slurred slightly "Otto ought to consider
getting his auto at the automobile repair shop" could end up sounding
like "Otto otto consider getting his otto at the otto repair shop"

Sums up your life pretty well, I'd say. it's the most original response
you've ever had *and* the least insulting.

Awtoe.
Otto.
Elderly guy Otto Wise in Clinton,Mississippi (about five miles West of
doggy's couch) repairs radios.I think he would say his Otto name is
pronounced differently.
