Question for Tardo

Hey Tardo, on that rather sad exercise in narcissism that you call
your "website", you say you spent some time in college-level
journalism seminars at Michigan State University, and you display an
image of something that LOOKS like a diploma, but which you refer to
as a "certificate of achievement".

So did you graduate from Michigan State with an actual degree? If so,
why don't you come out and say it? If not, why would you bother, after
all these many years, to roll out your ultimately insignificant
"certificate of achievement"? Inquiring minds want to know...

No, Eduardo is just a high-school dropout.

And one who later went back to college and did fairly well at it.

LOL. I'm not sure most people want to work at the den of insecurity that is
radio, but what you say is both blunt and to the point.

Are you sure you aren't just projecting your own personal insecurities
onto your profession?

No, radio is relatively insecure because there is no such thing as tenure,
and stations change format and staff quite constantly. Add to that the fact
that progress is generally attained by moving from smaller to bigger
markets, over and over, rather than within a single station, and you have
plenty of instability. Did I mention most programming jobs are also very
ratings-dependent and of limited security?

This doesn't distinguish radio from the vast majority of business
endeavors.

Things are rough all over, bub. You perform or you take it on the
arches. That's not just radio: it's business.

Radio is more like the rest of the entertainment business... you may do a
sitcom for a season or two... and then not work for a year or more. There
are just no guarantees, and progress is determined by moving up in market
size in radio... most places there is no internal career path on the
programming side. .

Awwww, poor little fake Hispanic.
