I saw your post on RI against Savage's, Eduardo!

Itīs not against Savage.... it'against people who build unviable AM stations
and the fact that AM is dying anyway. News talk is moving to FM, with
stations in Detroit and Indianapolis doing it just this week.

You're assuming here that AM IBOC will continue to advance. It might
not, in which case AM might stand at least a slim chance of survival.

To the contrary. If there proves to be no way to make AM sound better to the
undeer.45 group, AM is over. The band may remain, with niche formats and
ethnic and religious offerings, but it wil capture maybe 4% to 5% of all
listening, and very little revenue.

Let's debunk this crock of crap you keep posting... the station is 21st in
25-54. All the listeners are over 55, and sales are dropping seriously. This
is a station in serious trouble, as it has nothing to sell.

That is, then why, they are moving to FM, with two top 50 market stations
moving to FM just this week.

It's the programming stupid, not the audio quality:

"Creating the Future of Radio"

"After all, digital sound quality is not what's driving Satellite and
"digital" per se is not a consumer benefit. The text services are
interesting, but will not be unique to HD Radio. The ability to record
our stations only matters if we offer content worth recording. And
when every station becomes several stations we are buying more shelf
space, but it's on an infinitely larger and more competitive shelf."

http://www.hear2.com/2005/04/creating_the_fu.html

Ever wonder, why 15 million listeners are willing to spend $15/month
on Satellite Radio, and that the majority of Ford's now have factory-
installed Satellite Radio, that Ford's premium models (which
constitute 40% of its sales) will have STANDARD Sync, that Hyundai
gave up on HD Radio and now have standard Satellite Radio.
