KFI transmitter problems

The Montecito site is not ready; the toploading of the tower to be used is not done, so it is some time before they switch. Pretty much what I indicated to you a while back, you f00kin prancer. No, you did not indicate that at all. Yes, I did! No, your only idiotic contribution here was to question why switching from one site to another might cause the signal to "cut out" (in fact, it was not cutting out, per Telamon, but going up and down in field strength). If they were having one of many kinds of issues, they might have been switching back and forth... such as testing a system to turn the "other site" on if the one in use failed (they might want to use the Buena Park auxiliary at night, when the new tower would not be under construction) and were going back and forth between the two. As we later found out, the new temporary site is not yet ready to operate, so the reason for the intermittency had to do with maintenance they did when they took a silent period after midnight and until 5 or 6 AM on Sunday... the normal time most AMs now choose to shut down when it is impossible to stay on the air for some maintenance. |

"dxAce" wrote in message ... Gee, all those other licences show up in the applicable Callbooks, poseur... No, lots did not. the system was entirely manual, and I see many who were never listed, including Peter Juris, Ing. Fred Simon, Ing. Al Horvath and several others I knew. Prove it! I really doubt any records exist to prove or disprove. Prove that, just like your 'claims' of station ownership in Ecuador. I gave you names of a dozen employees from that era, and suggested you contact the Commercial Attaché (who no longe ris a front for the CIA) in Quito and simply ask. Prove that, just like your 'Eduardo' name, that you NEVER used in any context other than that starting circa 2000. I used it on CIS back to the mid 80's as a way of distinguisning between my own opinions and ones that represented my professional activities. Prove it! The FCC disagrees with your claims, No, that is your fabrication based on a license RENEWAL. the State Department disagrees with your claims... No, they don't. I don't think I have ever delt with the State Depatment, anyway. I am not a diplomat nor a representative of a foreign government. and as far as I know the State of California disagrees with your claims. I have no idea what they could disagree with. |

In another post, I named some well know, licensed, Ecuadorian hams that did not ever appear in call books in the period... the interesting thing I noticed in making the list (which also includes Pascal Michelet, Gerardo Brborich, Fuad Dassum, and a few others) is that all the ones not listed were not Ecuadorian citizens by birth and had a different "Cédula" code... whether that is a coincidence or just a bit of randomity I will never know. |

Obfuscate, you little prancer! You did not contribute anything to this thread, except asking why switching between sites would cause a staiton to cut on and off, which is a pretty dumb comment to begin with! You said nothing about the possible causes, or the status of Amy's Place as a temporary site while KFI's new tower is being constructed. |
