CC Radio Shortwave - How is It?

I was on the CC Crane site and noticed they have a CC Radio with
shortwave.
Does any one have this radio yet? My brother has a regular CC Radio and I
was
thinking of getting him a new one for Christmas. But now saw this new
CC Radio shortwave.

If any of you have it or have heard anything about it - how is it? How is
the audio
when listening to talk stations on AM? Is the sound comparable to the
regular
CC Radio? How is the AM reception? How if FM and shortwave reception?

Thanks!

VF,

Basically the CC Radio-SW is the same Radio
as the Redsun RP2100 Radio.

READ - Received the CCRadio-SW Today -by- Gray Arnold

CCRadio-SW AM/FM/Shortwave Radio
http://www.ccrane.com/radios/shortwa...cradio-sw.aspx
Basically the CCRadio-SW is a re-badged Redsun
RP2100 Radio from China with the "CCRadio" Brand
Name on the outside sold at a higher price; but with
English Lettering and a US Warranty.

I have the Redsun RP2100 which is the same as the CC Crane SW.
It's MW AM band and FM reception is the best I have ever experienced.
See:
http://www.eham.net/reviews/detail/6055

It is also the same as the Kaito KA2100 which is an absolute bargain
for $90 at:
http://www.universal-radio.com/catal...able/2100.html

Have fun and good listening

The CC Crane SW for $150 is the same as the Kaito KA2100 for $90?

Crane replaces the ferrite antenna with a better set of two (twin ferrite
antennas), that is said to offer significant improvement in reception.
Whether it's worth the extra $ is a matter of opinion, of course.

I believe it is two coils on the same rod, not two antenna rods.

After receiving and using the radio for a few days I updated my
posting and stated that SW tuning is in 1 mhz OR 5 mhz. It took me a
couple days to learn all the features. A great receiver for the
price.

I believe both radios have two coils on one rod. I believe Crane has
made it a central part of their advertising.
