G'day Guys,

While listening to the 40m hams trying to catch VA7MLW Canadian sailing
solo run the world, the band is total washed out with this spectrum
noise. I have a recording of this BLOODY annoying spectrum noise,
which I'm sure is OVER HORIZON RADAR or something very similar, can
anyone else please confirm this ?

Sounds like a digital transmission mode like AMTOR. If it is it should
be two tones. If you were in the right sideband mode and tuned to the
right frequency it would sound like a digital mode to you. If this
signal is heard throughout the band then made you are close and your
radio is overloaded.
