Well, maybe they are Australian after all, and it's the transmitter
that's in Zambia.

I should have mentioned 2.8 kHz filter, USB. Listening to this sound
and comparing with the 'aussie drifter' sound, it seems to be very
similar, just different duty cycle, on a different band.
