internet audio content ain't radio ~ RHF It depends upon your definition of radio. :-) There are many radio stations streaming their programing over the Internet that never were, and probably never will be broadcasting over shortwave. If you want to listen to those programs, they are a good alternative to "top 40 via satellite" or Rush Limbaugh. Having a radio type interface instead of a computer extends access to those programs to the less technical, or in places that a computer would not really fit, such as besides your bed. In my case, it won't replace my beside radio (a Kenwood R-5000, with 20 meters of random wire antenna), but it might replace my wife's, a Sony AM/FM portable. It could very easily replace my clock radio. BTW, did you know that there was a failed effort to produce one 10 years ago: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kerbango and that there is a U.S. patent issued (to someone else) on the idea of presenting Internet Radio programs and actual radio programs together.
