I do like CDs and DVDs (which are themselves seeming to become dinosaurs), and I like the idea of digital cameras, although I have yet to buy one. It seems that every digital gadget these days is designed to make life more complex even as it make sthings faster. Nested menus and so on, being hooked up to people 24 hours a day - who needs it? Sometimes, old just feels better. Simpler and easier. HD FM does sound like a decent idea - but for AM? Pahh - not worth it. Bruce Jensen |

Digital radio is great, just not when it's in the analog bands. IBOC AM wipes out 5 channels for the amusement of a handful of broadcast execs (no one else bothers). dolby FM, SQ Quadrophonic, AM stereo, etc. |
