Shhh...I left my mask at the door.

Seems to work well. Sounds good. Calibration is dead on.

Takes some getting used to. Operation is a lot more direct than many
of my receivers.

This one, I'll want to take to the woods.

So, I guess I'll be putting my SW-2 up for sale.

The first $250 will take it.

I run into that kind of cross sales, all the time. And it's the best
possible purchase environment. Very limited market for the product, so
the price doesn't spike.

I've bought a couple of really nice radios at non-radio hobbycraft
shows. One was a T/O 3000-1 for $25.

Occasionally, a seller has an odd or an end, and they bring it out to
the show thinking that there may be someone who would relieve them of
it. This guy bought it as a serious DXer, and found that his condo
association was less than sympathetic. He'd never taken it out of the
box. That's not to say it was new. Just that the seller had never used
it, himself.

If you're interested in bargains, they're out there. Just look where
most people wouldn't.

I'm liking this Drake. Handles very nicely. And filter selection,
for fixed filters, is quite good. Cleans up a messy band but quick.

They're very audio-like filters (i.e. LRC type vs. ceramics, xtal,

I think you will find that a weak signal in the noise or near noise
level will be very readable on the Drake. It is always harder to hear a
signal in the noise on my other radios.

I hope you got the manual with the radio. If not someone should be able

I've got it currently connected to a walnut duct ported cabinet with a
pair of Stromberg-Carlson 12" woofers and an Altec-Lansing sectoral horn.

The Drake will drive all that with a 2.5 Watt output?

Oh, yeah. It's a very efficient speaker. And it's in a 10 X 10 room.

It doesn't need a lot of AF power.

I'm pretty happy with these Sony bookshelf speakers SS-MB100H.

The headphones I've used. And, like most Sony, don't care for them.
The speakers, I'm not familiar. I'm guessing they're efficient enough to
make a good noise with little wattage?

Big speakers are very efficient, generally. That setup should yield
close to 100dB SPL at 1 meter at 2.5 W in.
