That and the lack of a tuning knob made me replace it with a 909 and I later added the 398 realistic. It's been a few years and both sets are still working fine. mike I find the sync feature exceptionally useful on the 7600G & 7600GR. I do prefer having a tuning knob, however. But of the compact portables with tuning knobs that are on the market today, the Eton E5/Grundig G5 is probably a better choice than the '909. The E5/G5 has better sensitivity off the whip and the tuning knob isn't plagued by chuffing. And the price is much better than that of the Sangean. That's my take on it, at any rate. junius |
