The resident idiot Frank claims to have 9 computers and everybody knows he's a clueless moron that likes to scream and yell. Hint: How many computers you have has absolutely no relevance to your knowledge of computers. In fact, probably several hours of the day outside of work. Perhaps you're less than capable using Vista or learning how not to crash a computer system would be educational for you. Silly boy. You keep assuming Vista is crashing on me and I'm stumped what to do about it as opposed to me reporting on Vista crashes and offering solutions or just commenting on how dumb Microsoft is for allowing X, Y or Z to happen. Apples and oranges. I don't sit around and install new updates every time. One because I use all my computers more than that. I have computers for different purposes. One primarily for amateur radio software and music not to mention media mixing. Another is for website development and business. 2 are for personal pleasure one desktop and the other laptop. Sorry, not impressed. How many computers you play with in your mom's basement is of little consequence and you haven't mentioned a single thing you do with any of them that's relevant to your supposed knowledge or experience. The other couple get a lot of web usage. One pretty much has thousands of songs on it. You might learn something from some of the posters here. No small task to keep all those computers running in top shape. Something else that eludes you. Oh please... we're suppose to be impressed because you have a computer with thousands of songs on it? Did you compose some of these songs? Remix them, change the pitch, tempo, do anything other that download them and then play them back? I doubt it. As far as learning from some of the posters here... I do. Sorry you're not one of them unless your lesson was self-importance, bragging and how to whine. We already have a surplus of those kind of posters, your services aren't required. |

True, but neither ADS, Orcad, Protel DXP, or PCAD run on that platform. The
cheaper under 1000 dollar programs might, but none of the heavy hitters. Still, Linux is my favorite operating system. No bloatware with that platform, no gigantic system requirement that Microsoft requires. Linux has great potential. Pete "Canuck57" wrote in message news:6tu0k.310167$pM4.139399@pd7urf1no... The resident idiot Frank claims to have 9 computers and everybody knows he's a clueless moron that likes to scream and yell. As if you're qualified to know anything about computers, operating systems, etc. eh career burger flipper. Hint: How many computers you have has absolutely no relevance to your knowledge of computers. Hint, spend 20 years working with computers, operating systems, building computers, and using various software and operating systems and one day you will know as much as me. Up to this point, you're still a career burger flipper. Funny that you whine like a little bitch about Vista on here and then claim to have all these so called suggestions. Whats damn hilarious about it is that if you're so proficient with Vista, XP, and how to fix them you would have a real job working at Microsoft, RedHat or somewhere else, not living in your mommys attic. By the way Half Bright, one day you might learn something other than operating those little ****ty systems you claim to know so much about. Meanwhile, XP, Vista and other stuff is actually used in businesses all over the world. Can you say that about the average Linux system? Can you say that IT professionals are going to Linux, Red Hat, or any of that other stuff including Ubuntu. By the way, someday you might grasp the fact that a lot of people here including Frank and others here know more about computers than you would ever wish to know. Just because you can put Ubuntu, Linux, or whatever piece of crap you claim works so well on your computer, doesnt make you an expert. When you can program computers, program systems, and actually contribute to the knowledge base I might respect you. Until then, I seriously doubt it. By the way, I produce, mix, and organize audio for various purposes including personal uses, audio, political purposes, and many other things. Not only through the computer but counting a couple thousand worth of studio equipment, mics, mixer, etc I know a bit more than some wet behind the ears kid would know. I've been involved in radio for quite a number of years both amateur radio, commercial radio, and audio production. Also design web pages and work with software in business and computer realms. Your comments strike me as of some insecure little boy hiding in his mommas attic popping off about people. Someday when you grow up, you might get the picture Funny. First, Frank is a bullsh!ter. Caught him more than one with outright wrong. I wouldn't even doubt he has never run Vista. Totally a screwed up backwards piece of work. Any resemblance to a real e-rag news outlet is delusional at best. Frank Frank knows all about delusional. It's his life. Sure you do, Madeline Most people fine it rather strange that the real malcontents in this ng are the ones who can't get their installs of vista to run properly. They blame MS and call those of us who have successfully, installed, configure and run Vista properly, 'fanboys" as if that somehow properly vilifies us makes their obvious computer incompetence some kind of an aberration. adam albright is the leader of that demented, delusional pact of idiot moron losers. And I am daily amazed that this piece of **** can't actually still type on a keyboard with his fat, bald head shoved all the way up his fat stupid ass! Simply amazing! Frank We all know you are experienced at installing updates. It seems that updates and service packs are a way of life with Windows. Oh? As compared to the 180+ updates for urbuttoo? Or how about upgrading to a whole new os every six months? Isn't that the "way of life' with linux/urbuttoo, huh? Did you come to this Vista ng to try and spread your lies like you have been doing in the printer ng now for yrs? Guess what asshole, I've got your number and you're #1 on my **** list! Frank The Ubuntu LTS versions are every other year. The intermediate versions are for new users to play with 'til the next LTS version. There has never been a "whole new os" as far as I can tell, just constant refinements (usually hardware support as more and more vendors hop on-board) that are almost always 100% backwards compatible. Ubuntu 8.04 is an LTS and like butter. Ubuntu sounds like a case of an African disease We can add racist to your list of flaws. Just an observation Marxist liberal. We do know that you'll love your socialist idol Obama. Maybe if you would kick the habits that create your dementia you might actually get it |

You have done nothing to dissuade me from thinking Windows users are generally more hostile than people who use free OS solutions. I actually got my Everex from New Egg, but it is famous for being the $199 WalMart special. It really doesn't matter what you think since opinions are a dime a dozen. You can bitch and moan like a crybaby all you want about Vista or XP or whatever. It won't change things and you can expect that users will be using Vista or some other Microsoft product way into the future. Linux won't become crap. It has been on the market for around 10 years and frankly its not going to take over any market. Even if your claims of Linux superiority were correct, which they are not, no one still uses it for the most part. Find me major corporations in America that are conducting most of their IT and computer systems in Linux. Very few. Its easy being a libertarian and or liberal when you live in your moms basement. After all, you take pride in it |

There is no reason to overhaul your PC every 30 months. Think of the toxic waste. My computer uses 12 Watts. And your computer still doesn't work I have 4 computers. The XP machine is down right now, and I'm in no hurry to fix it. Why? Is it too hard for you to fix anything or are you such a technological neanderthal that it would be impossible to fix for yourself. Which you probably also blame on Microsoft. It is precisely because of my techno-prowess that I can recognize that Windows is a dead-end vector compared to the Unix-esque platforms that are rapidly gaining traction, even as doubts grow about Windows' viabilty looking forward. |
