Millions had to quit doing 'sillycon' when they stopped making the 6502
processor. The Z80 just didn't have the same feel and later, the 32 bit
stuff caused too many side effects.

Not to mention the Fed's scare tactics concerning Printed Circuit
Boards. I hear there's still a ban on PCBs, with only the Chinese
allowed importation rights. The lead solder keeps you coming back for more.

Dave is still doing it. The side effects are not a problem for him.
However, one side effect, the rants he posts here are very bothersome.

Oh, you can still get a 6502 "fix"! Western Design Center and Sunplus
still make 6502 compatible chips in microcontroller form.
I'm not sure what side effects would be added by inhaling the new
integrated peripherals, however.... ;P
