Default HD radio application specific integrated chip sets are yet to be found

HD radio application specific integrated chip sets are yet to be found

There was a bogus press release by iBiquity last May stating that both
Samsung and SiPort were sampling HD IBOC application specific chip or
chip set at that time. I can then find several articles by technical
news sites that all appear to stem from this one bogus iBiquity press
release but that's about it.

You will notice that wherever this news is mentioned that there are no
part numbers mentioned. This is a very good indicator of the press
release being pure marketing BS.

The SiPort web site still looks like a shell site with no news about an
HD chip or chip set.

A search of the Samsung site just today indicates no news of this
development either.

An application specific IBOC chip or chip set is still vaporware as far
as I can tell so feel free to go search the links above.
