Sometimes, if the atmospheric conditions are right, with an AM radio you
can pick up a few radio stations in Europe.About thirty years ago when I
was driving along the A1A highway in Florida at night time I picked up a
radio station in Ireland.

CCrane Radio Plus
 

I've got a CCRadio Plus I found at a local thrift store for $9. AM
sensitivity is fairly good... but not spectacular. My Grundig S350
performs just as well, if not better, and also includes SW. I'd buy one
of those for $75 on Ebay before I'd sink money into a new CCRadio Plus.
