I was curious about that so I googled a bit. Gary Trudeau
called Condoleezza Rice "Brown Sugar" in the "Doonesbury"
strip. It doesn't appear that any of the people who found the
appelation racist or offensive were Democrats. But, then
Rice is a Republican and it's probably impossible for any
term used in reference to a Republican to be racist or offiensive.
